Are you a Christmas Card Fan??

I adore creating and sending out Christmas cards EVERY year!

In the past 15 years, that Mr. Thueson and I have been happily married I have yet to miss a year sending out a card! It is for sure one of my most treasured Christmas traditions!

One of my favorite things about Christmas is looking back on all Christmas cards over the years, It is amazing to see how much the kids have grown year to year.

For those who do not share my affinity for Christmas cards or would like some tips on upping your Christmas card game! I am happy to help!

In my 15 years I’ve learned a trick or two! 😉

7 Tips For The Best Christmas Cards!

  1. Make your list first! – When you are first starting out – it is hard to gauge exactly how many cards you need to order. So make out your list so you can order accordingly. In my first couple years – I always ending up forgetting someone and had to go back and order more! It was a hassle. So start with your #’s First!
  2. Have all your addresses saved on labels. This is one of my BIGGEST time savers! I just open up my “Christmas Label” file and make updates for those that have moved and then print my labels out right from my computer. I can add fun fonts and different colors. But every year my addresses are in the same spot and ALL ready to go!
  3. Get your family pictures done early!! I usually have my annual family photos done in September or October, this allows plenty of time to get them edited and back to you! If you are reading this and you have not done annual Christmas photos – Don’t worry!! Use some of your favorite snap shots from the year! I love incorporating non “professional” fun photos! A couple of years this ideas has saved my bacon! And my family loved the less traditional approach.
  4. Buy Stamps at Costco or Sam’s Club you’re there anyway and they sell them in bulk!! No standing in line at the post office!
  5. Have your return address printed on your envelopes! It looks super classy and will save you some precious time! {Shutterfly offers this option!}
  6. Even procrastinators can send Christmas cards! If you haven’t ordered cards yet – it is not TOO late! As long as the card gets there by 12/24 you’re good!! I just ordered mine and plan on shipping them out next week! So you’re right on time!
  7. Over there years I have ordered cards from lots of different companies but by far my FAVORITE is Shutterfly!! They offer beautifully crafted cards at a very reasonable price! They offer foil and glitter stamped cards that are my new fav!!! Just watch for the coupon codes and apply them! You can usually get FREE Shipping or an Extra 10-25% off if you watch for the specials! They are my favorite for a reason!

If you struggle with Christmas Sayings for your cards – There are several beautifully written cards to choose from! So you don’t even need to worry about that! All the hard work is done! Just upload your images from your computer, Facebook, Instagram  or other favorite photo sharing online platforms.

You just drop the photos where you want them and you can customize in so many fun little ways all from there very easy to use website!

I hope my tips have helped to make the Christmas card process easier and less daunting! It really is super easy to send cards out and show all the people in your life that you are thinking about them this time of year!
