Well Hello, December! I am so excited to see you!! I love this month there are so many fun things to do and yummy things to eat. 😐
For me, nothing says Christmas like peppermint flavored goodness.
Every year I make this killer Candy Cane Brownie, that I distribute to my neighbors. It is my signature Christmas dish! We have more than a few neighbors, who were probably more bummed about not getting an annual plate of candy cane brownies, then our family actually moving away…Haha
Now that I have a big ooey gooey chocolate peppermint brownie on my brain with luscious peppermint filling and fudge frosting….(I am my own worst enemy sometimes when it comes to my fitness journey)
Let me get back to my super yummy candy cane protein shake, it is delightful! Its light, smooth, refreshing, a creamy! I crave it this time of year!
I dare say it is better than my Candy Cane Brownies… Just Kidding it’s not – come on you can’t beat full fat and sugar-filled goodness!
But is it better for my figure? Heck Yes! I’ll take the swap and come out the winner! Will I still indulge in some of my brownies… yep you betcha but those are a small indulgence and you can indulge in this creamy candy cane protein shake on the daily.
Candy Cane Protein Shake
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1/2 a Candy Cane Crushed into a fine powder
- 2 TBS Almond Coffee Creamer
- a drop of peppermint extract ---BE SO CAREFUL!!! This is one way to Kill your shake fast!! Too much peppermint extract is NASTY!
- 8-10 Ice Cubes as needed for desired consistency
- Blend and Enjoy!
Guys this is breeze to blend together and is the perfect treat for this time of year, so indulge in the good stuff in moderation and use this one on the daily if needed. Your waistline and tastebuds will thank you!
