Chocolate Raspberry Protein Shake!! #proteinshakes #protein #healthyeats {www.andiethueson.com}

I am super picking when It comes to pairing chocolate with fruit… I’m typically really leery of such things. Chocolate is acceptable paired with strawberries and raspberries and that’s pretty much it. {In my eyes anyways} Are you picky too? Or do you think I’m smoking crack?!?
I had some frozen raspberries in my freezer and I was craving chocolate so I married the two and whipped up this delicious chocolaty raspberry shake… It was Divine!

  1. Yum! You know what would actually be amazing with this? 1/2 of a small organic lime (including the rind). Sounds weird, I know. But in the past few years of experimenting with different veggie and fruit smoothies, I’ve found that lime goes really, really well in a chocolate & fruit smoothie, especially with raspberry. And lime is a great detoxifier, too. 🙂

    1. Hmmm… I’ll have to give that one a try sounds interesting! 🙂

      1. Cool, I hope you like it. I should have mentioned as well – only use the rind if you have a good high power blender like a Vitamix. If not, you might want to remove the rind first or else you could end up with some pulp.

        1. Good to know! I have a Blendtec and I love it!

  2. Hi Andie,can the ViSalus shake mix be used as the protein in your shakes?

    1. Val, any protein shake base you choose will work just fine! 🙂

    2. Hi Andie
      This recipe sounds good….I have unsweetened original almond milk, could you add vanilla extract and how much would you think. I’m too lazy to go to the store the vanilla almond milk ?
