Maintaining a healthy weight can seem confusing an often frustrating – but these simple tips can help keep you at a healthy weight.

Managing your weight can be tricky and confusing. All of our bodies are so different and respond in different ways to different diet plans. What worked for your friend might not work for you, and learning to navigate and make sense of all the information around weight management can be super intimidating and hard to understand.

Don’t lose hope and get frustrated!

Today is all about simplification and teaching you some easy Weight Management Tips that will help you make any diet plan you’re working with that much better!! So whether you identify yourself as Ketogenic, Vegan, Flexible Dieter, Weight Watchers, or whatever plan you have adopted – these tips will help you take it to the next level!

  • Find a diet plan that will work for you: Being too strict can set up for failure. Be realistic and find something that works for you!
  • Start taking the right probiotic:  NOW’s Women’s Probiotic 20 Billion, their ultimate probiotic, features a proprietary blend of probiotics that are specifically designed to help with overall women’s gut and feminine health.* Having a healthy gut is a huge step in the right direction towards weight management.* {I’ll spare you the nitty gritty sciency stuff – just know that having a healthy and happy gut may support a healthy metabolic rate, support proper blood sugar metabolism, help to maintain a healthy body weight, promote a balanced immune system response, reduce gas production, and affect appetite! All good and wonderful things my friends!

  • Eat More Fiber: Once you have started to allow your gut to heal and get the right bacteria back in there, a prebiotic fiber supplement like NOW® Fiber-3 will help your gut bacteria produce even more beneficial short-chain fatty acids!* All of this will support the gut’s natural healing processes and optimize your metabolism.* It is tasteless so you can add it to protein shakes, oatmeal, yogurt, really anything!
  • Reduce Sugar and Refined Carbohydrates: This one is easier said than done! I love my sugar and treats just as much as the next gal, but sugar and refined carbs {think bread, pasta, etc.} can shift the balance of bacteria toward the undesirable ones. Be smart and cut back as much as you can! Your metabolism and gut will thank you!
  • Eliminate Artificial Sweeteners: This one should not come as a surprise! More and more research is proving the fact that artificial sweeteners are just NOT good for you. They can inhibit the growth of good bacteria. And studies show that they can actually make you hungrier! That is not good news! So just steer clear of the fake artificial stuff and stick with stevia, xylitol, and erythritol. NOW carries all of them and they are of good quality and taste great.
  • Fast Intermittently: This basically means tightening the window in which you eat. For example, I usually stop eating around 7 at night and will “break my fast around 11-12” This has been shown to provide tons of health benefits! First and foremost, it will help you reduce your overall caloric intake and help give your digestive tract time to heal and produce and grow the rockstar bacteria your body needs to enhance your metabolism.
  • Drink Water! If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times! Water is really the elixir of life! Being properly hydrated will help you to perform at your best and lose weight! Aim to drink at least 2/3 of your body weight in ounces!
